InterGlobe Aviation-owned IndiGo announced a major expansion of its international network with 12 new non-stop flights connecting tier-II Indian cities to key Gulf destinations such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha and Muscat. The new routes, to be launched over the next two months, will operate from cities including Lucknow, Jaipur, Coimbatore and Ahmedabad, adding over 70 weekly frequencies. Management said the expansion leverages strong VFR and worker traffic to the Gulf and will help decongest metros by offering direct options from regional hubs.
IndiGo is deepening its presence on high-demand Gulf routes, which can support passenger growth and strengthen its position in international short-haul travel from non-metro Indian cities.
